Primary Role of the CNC Machinist:

As a CNC Machinist, you will operate a variety of machines, including cut-off saws, lathes, drill presses, and CNC machines, to cut, shape, and bend materials. You’ll be responsible for reading job specifications, determining machine adjustments, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in your work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate CNC machines, including lathes and drill presses, to cut, shape, and bend sheets, tubes, and structures
• Read and interpret job specifications to set machine adjustments and material requirements
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths and remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpieces
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure the machines are operating efficiently
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other CNC fabrication tasks as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of related industrial experience, or a combination of both
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Must be highly motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
