Primary Role of the Tube Mill Machine Operator:

As a Tube Mill Machine Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining tube mill equipment, ensuring high-quality production standards. This role includes troubleshooting, quality control, and data recording to maintain a seamless production process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and maintain tube mill equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges, ensuring proper control and adjustments
  • Set up, calibrate, and monitor data collection systems such as x-ray solder thickness for accurate results
  • Conduct tube burst tests, evaluate weld quality, and identify any size defects, documenting all findings in logbooks
  • Lead material handlers and tube packers, ensuring an efficient workflow and safe working conditions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any tube mill-related manufacturing issues promptly
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months of related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and correspond effectively
  • Basic math skills
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
